What tremolo fits this?

Re: What tremolo fits this?

First thing I thought of when looking at the first pic was "Peavey Predator". I had one that used that screw hole configuration. Here's one for sale on ebay where you can clearly see the bridge:

yeah thanks man i have seen that and i bet that would fit. I just doubt thats what would have been on the guitar as this thing is great quality..

Re: What tremolo fits this?

This old spare Squire bridge I have in front of me is 10.5mm hole to hole, and outer hole to outer hole is 52.5. Looks like a match to me. I will be looking for a way to install a fixed bridge in my squire bridge when I put it together. When it was together last, I had the screws all the way down so the bridge couldn't float, as i could never get the thing to tune right...

Are you saying that a USA Peavey Predator wouldn't be of decent quality?

I had one years ago, parted it out. Can't say for certain if the body was shipped to Australia for someone to put together a partscaster with. ;)

Most things that come equipped with import tremolos are puss. I mean they might have a good body and neck but i bet those tremolos are rat poo.

This is what he said to me when i asked

''It was a floating trem with a whammy bar but not a floyd rose style looked like a fender apart from the 4 screws and it was black chrome, It was a gotcha/wilkinson. i tryed to find it online but theres to many, However, i found this pic, this is not it but it was this kind of shape''

He sent me a pic for the super vee. Its bugging me for some reason. I dont think gotoh or wilkinson ever made a 4 point

I was looking up those Wilkinson trems and I really think that someone installed one on that Peavey I had. It was 6 screw but they just installed the 4 screws that were needed. I remember the offset string holes in the block and the big saddles that looked almost like hoop earrings. Pretty sure it was this one:

I think I actually got almost the same price for selling the bridge as I got for the body. :D

Re: What tremolo fits this?

Wrong spacing both ya ^^ :biglaugh:. I am beginning to think like crusticle suggested it just had a regular tremolo but they only used 4 holes. 10.5mm spacing.

This guitar is going to be great i can feel it. Its not often you can find something hand made like this for so cheap.

gotcha bro, bladerunner is variable spacing capable. Fits in guitars spaced from 52.5mm->vintage 56mm.

Dominus beat me to it, but again, the Peavey Predator was a USA made guitar and was pretty decent (tuners were sh!t, though). However, I get what your saying about your guitar being a higher quality instrument. People do stranger things than putting weird bridges on custom guitars, though, no?

Good luck on your quest!

Dowel and drill for whatever you want to put on there rather than try and chase down a vague description.

Thanks, well i guess its not that high quality its just got handmade mojo. Just going off what the seller told me. It doesn't really matter i am leaning towards just a gfs. I have one on another guitar and its good especially compared to a lot of the squire type stuff.. It does bug me though.... :laugh2: because i know there are a lot of rare gotoh bridges out there.

For example this rare as gotoh.

Yeah he sent me a link to the supervee and said it looked similar to that but it was gotcha/wilkinson in cosmo black hehe. Balderunner hey? shame they cost too much.

Trying to avoid that as all my tools and machines are packed away while i line my shed out to live in.
