What Tube Amp do you use?

Re: What Tube Amp do you use?

WOW - This amp does not even have to have the speaker hooked up.

Wireless tube amp... What will Peavey come up with next?
Here ya go Stratman. It DOES work better like this.:D

Man you just GOTTA post clips of that when you get the "project" done. I am jonesing to hear that. :headbang:

I will only own one all tube amp in the coming months and that's the Celtic Edana.

I may get another Celtic when Scott puts out the face melting low wattage amp he's making or I might make one for myself if I'm feeling froggy.

All my other amps will be Vox AD120VTH heads (I now have two of the Korean made ones). They have one tube apeice in them and they sound just like a regular tube amp when cranked. Best modeling amp on the planet earth IMHO.

Re: What Tube Amp do you use?

This amp has been the closest thing to perfection that I've tried so far (old picture, but it's the original one of the amp head right when I bought it):

I've been using this amp for quite a while. I can pretty much dial it in for any environment I need it for. There are some days when I feel like trying something else (just for a change), but at the end of the day, I always come back to this one. Just sounds right and is so much fun to rock out through!

Peavey Classic 20 with JJs and Fender Bassman speaker; Peavey Classic 30 with JJs and G12H30; and since last week, a Music Man 65/210 with alnico Weber Blue Pups and Sylvania EL34's. I have not yet plumbed the depths of tone available from this fantastic amp. :smokin:

Re: What Tube Amp do you use?

I have the two channel Triple Rectifier w/ black chrome as far as live w/ Mesa Boogie 4x12 half back cabinets...

I also have Ampeg VT-22 that rocks.. (tube rectifier)
Ampeg Reverb-o-Rocket (original)
Fender Twin Reverb (red knob)
Yamaha T-100 Soldano Head...
