Normally that's V1 and it's covered to help guard away noise and hum from the tube that has the most amount of gain in your amp.

On my amp I have covers over all the pre-amp tubes.

they help stop electronic interference from the rest og the amp affecting the tube signal

I do not remember the identification number of the old style rectifiers that were used by Fender, but they were metal cans.
