hmm, what makes you think it's not a malmsteen strat?, aside from the neck that is....I'm gonna have to pull the pickgaurd to make sure...

Could be partly but obviously one major component is missing -> scalloped neck! Bridge saddles look black in your photo so that's another thing. A huge part of the magic of an Yngwie strat is the scalloped fretboard and brass nut. Without that it's just not the same.

haha yes it's string saver saddles, and the Neck's a warmoth but it's a complete YJM body i'm told...just a few "upgrades" i guess:P, either way they are both getting a thorough playing before my decision is met......the ESP looks nice...but...I have my Kramer that covers that ground nicely...unless the ESP out performs it then it's no question.

I'm with Butch..the Strat is a more versatile ax for a variety of tones and music.

Y'know, it's weird cuz if you told me it was a choice between a yellow strat and a black ESP i would normally say DUH DUDE GET THAT YELLOW STRAT IDIOT

but man, that ESP is sweet-lookin, and that shade of yellow looks really really ugly with the all-maple neck.

Granted, everybody needs at least one Strat layin around because they're amazing guitars but...that ESP is so RAD man!

What amp are you trading for it? Cuz personally I'd rather have more amps than guitars...

it's my Crate Red Voodoo 1/2 stack, judging by what I paid for the amp both the guitars fall under what it's/they are worth used..I have no need for the amp anymore and I have plenty more to fill the gap of loosing it:)
