What would you do with this beast?

It's a mahogany Warmoth carved-top soloist, neck is a Warmoth maple/rosewood tele neck. I bought the parts a LONG time ago and never got around to finishing it. It is routed H-P90-P90, but the original bridge routing was P90 also. I'd love a 3 P90 guitar, but I wonder how strange it would look to have that extra rout there.

If I did 3 P90's I think it would be:
Custom-Hot-Custom or
Custom-Vintage-Hot

Although I'm open to other suggestions. My other Mahogony (LP) guitar has a Custom and '59 so I've got those tones nailed, I think this should be something different... something interesting...

EDIT - Grr... Stupid pic won't upload...

Bump.

Can anyone host the file if I email it to them?

(Tune-o-matic bridge, btw)

You could always do a "baby" pickgaurd:

I know that looks terrible, but you get the idea - if done neatly. ;)

If your heart is set on 3 P-90's, get a custom wound Phat Cat to the specs you want, that way you won't have to do any more routing.

Re: What would you do with this beast?

Does anyone know if a Phat Cat can be ordered with something other than a chrome cover? What it seems like I'd need is a humbucker mounting ring with no hole so I could cut out a P90 shape instead of the humbucker shape... hmm....

Re: What would you do with this beast?

Well, Rio Grande makes their Bastard and Fat Bastad (P-90's in humbucker housing) models with pretty much any finish you want. You might want to look into those pickups as well.

Re: What would you do with this beast?

The time is near to finish this guitar, would you go with Cream or Black P90's?
