What would you pay?

I have a Fender Squire Strat I'm thinking of selling but don't know what to ask for it. Suggestions? What would you pay?

It is an Affinity Squire strat with a lil59 bridge, vintage rails middle, cool rails neck pickup. I replaced the 5 way switch and instead added 3 individual toggle switches to control each pu.

The neck and bridge toggle is a 3 way switch that allows you to 1. turn pu off 2. Single Coil Split, 3. Full Humbucking. The switch for the middle is just an on/off switch. Each switch is independent so you can have any configuration. Extremely versatile guitar. I can get any tone I could ever want from it. The guitar is in excellent shape, no scratches or dings, and plays extremely well. Unfortunately, I have to sell it. I just don't know if anyone would be interested in a guitar like this. Thanks. -abriz

welcome to the forum!!

the problem is, its still just an affinity strat. the guitar itself is worth maybe $100. if you can get $200 i think youll be doing well. im sure someone will like it but i dont think youll get as much out of it as youd like to

this really should be in the trading post by the way

Thanks for the response. Sounds about right.

Don't know why I didn't post in the trading forum. Doh! I've actually been a long time member/reader of these forums, maybe 2 years now. I just haven't been here in a bit and forgot my previous id and pswrd. Thks. -abriz

Re: What would you pay?

I'd say take out the pickups and you'll be lucky to get $100 for it...unfortunately.

+ 1 take out the pups and sell em on ebay !!!

Re: What would you pay?

yea.. you can get about 150 with the pickups alone and if you have the old pickups still there, put em back in and sell the guitar for a hundred..

i think that is the best way yo get the most out of it

Re: What would you pay?

So you guys suggest selling the guitar with the old pickups and selling the SD pups separate. ok. That might be an option. I'll look into that.

I was thinking that for someone who wants to experiment with these pickups and this versatile configuration they would go for it. Not a main guitar for sure, but definitely a great buy.

Thanks again for the responses. -abriz

Re: What would you pay?

You'll get a lot more money taking out the Duncan pickups putting the stock pickups back in and selling the guitar and the Duncans separately.
