The 60's/70's Sunn amps were built like tanks, but they were voiced just a wee bit on the bright side. I remember trying to do a gig with a Solaris and a 2x12" (with metal dome CTS speakers) and that thing just about took my head off. The 6550's they were using also didn't break up in a 70's sorta way...bass players liked them though; hard and clean. The RI stuff is the Model T and some other models...haven't heard them.

The re-issues that Fender brought out arent that great. But the 60's and 70's ones are killer. Big, loud as hell and clean as hell. Great pedal amps.
