Whats a good high gain pedal?

On my roland i can put it on the R-Fir setting (Mesa boogie modeling) and get pretty close, but it seems a little dry sounding.

Whats a good pedal to get me a good marshal'ey stack distortion? That dont sound so artificial

One of my favorite pedals and is priced reasonably,is the Marshall JackHammer...Mine is stock and never been modded by me..A sign of a great pedal! :laugh2:

My favorite is the Fulltone Fulldrive II. Great OD and it has a solo boost built in. Stratdeluxer can mod almost any pedal you want to sound superb. I have one of his Boss SD-1's, and it rocks.

I just heard some clips of that marshall pedal, and thats the EXACT tone im looking for.

That will really make the EMG's going through my solid state amp come back to life. Im just buying it for the OD really, the distortion sucks, but that OD is worth the $80.


Yea, I really need to get that pedal. On my amp I have the EQ maxed, and the gain maxed on the most insane distortion this amp can get, along with maxing out the volume (Well, not really, its 60watts, its way to damn loud to max out, makes my ears ring like a bitch at half volume). And it still needs a little more, seems like this pedal can do it effortlessly.

They're not cheap, but the ToneBone Hot British and the G2D Morpheus might suit you nicely. The Jackhammer is a pretty sweet little pedal, too.

If you want great tone and great bang for the buck,the JackHammer is hard to beat! Get one cheap off E Bay.....It does a pretty good JCM 800 Crunch and it can do the newer and more compressed darker Mesa Rectifier tones...It has an overdrive side(My favorite)and a Distortion side..Great pedal for the money...
