What's a good rack controlled effects unit?

I'm looking for something affordable that has all the delay, reverb, chorus, all that stuff and can be changed by pedal. What's something affordable? I'm all for old stuff and I'm not picky with effects.

Original version of the Rocktron Intellifex (The newer 'Online' version would also be fine).

I actually bought one new when they first came out (about $700 back in the early 90's). It was the only model at the time that didn't have the sound drop out when you changed patches. Simply a great sounding unit that can be found for about $200 used (or less).

Good Luck

Edit: I see your using an old 5150. I had one of the earlier ones (not block letter, but only a year or two after those). The Intellifex sounded killer with it.

the problem with older effects, is that they aren't like old amps- older digital effects sound a lot worse than modern ones.

You might check out the TC Electronics G Sharp: http://www.tcelectronic.com/G-Sharp.asp

Not too expensive and sounds great.

my old 1989 Roland GP8 rack effects unit is amazing... it's analog Boss style effects with a midi controller unit... i grabed one at a garage sale for $20... works great with tube amps...

i see them come up for sale once in a while for around $100-$150.... i'm going to try and grab a 2nd one when i spot it

Rocktron Xpression - $~250 new. You can use all effects at once. You need to get a Midi foot controller for it.

no distortion. Not a tone-robber.
Decent phaser, flanger, chorus, compressor.
So-so pitch-shifter, can have 2 delays at once.
Great EQ, lotsa parameters.
Hush.

Back to a few pedals to simplify my life. That thing was like Mission Control.
