What's a Hybrid pickup??

what exactly is a hybrid humbucker pickup? I'm under the impression that it is one coil from two different pickups put together. Or can it get more complicated than that? Thanx in advance fellas

The 2 Hybrids that work the best in my opinion are the PGB/Custom and the 59B/Custom...I use em both...

It's not that it's hard,but it is tedious and you have to be able to work with the little wires...

You see, im a bit curious how a JB\CC hybrid would sound..... i've always been wanting a pickup that sounded like the bastard son of a JB and a CC

I'm a big fan of the Blues Saraceno/59B with an A2. It looks kinda funny, but sounds great.

Sure you can do it...Can you hold a soldering iron the right way? :laugh2: Do a search under "Bachtorock" for his detailed post on how to do this...Might be in the vault also?
