I have 3 tube amps:
Marshall JCM 800 4010 1x12 50w combo + 1x12 ext cab
Mesa Rectoverb series 2
Fender Blues Deluxe
I also have a 4x12 cab that I never use.

+ a couple of small solid states
Marshall Lead 12
Roland micro cube

I use the JCM800 and Blues Deluxe as a stereo rig in my garage. Use the lead 12 in the lounge or study.

Am about to sell the Mesa and micro cube though. I was about to buy a bass amp, but have decided to sell my basses instead.

I want to keep it simple and go down from 7 guitars and 2 baseses to three high quality guitars. Reduce from 15 pedals to the 3 that I actually use, and sell off the 20 + pickups that I have collected but have no use for.

depends on what you need to do. I have one acoustic amp (fishman loudbox) and that's enough. it sounds great and if I need more volume I run it into the pa. I have two bass amps (gk 800rb and ampeg svt5pro) the gk is setup in the house and gets used for mostly practice and maybe small gigs. the svt pretty much gets used when its a real gig. for electric guitar I have a bunch of amps (celtic 5e3, celtic 5e7, '66 fender deluxe reverb, '69 fender dual showman reverb, gutted musicmaster bass amp, and marshall jtm30) I pretty much use either the musicmaster or deluxe reverb depending on how much volume I need. its nice to have a big amp when you need it but most of the time 85w of clean four bottle power is of no use to me.

for electric guitar I could totally get away with just my deluxe reverb

I have two (20w 2x6v6 plexi and 18w 2xel84 1974x clone) but I'm trying to sell the plexi and buy a fender deluxe reverb or 5e3.

Honestly, and I am being completely serious here, I aspire to have 1 amp. I understand that people want to have a fender and a Marshall and a bogner and an egnater and a 5150 etc but I just never know what to do with options like that. I prefer to have one knob for the loud and then do all the tone tweaking with my guitar and pedals

If you count my Pignose, I have twelve.

I still want an Orange, a Laney SuperGroup and a Triaxis. Um.....maybeeeeeee an AC30.

I stopped putting limits on myself years ago. Forget what people think and buy what you want to buy.

Jeremy are you using the loud box with your electrics as well as your acoustics? I would think the voicing of this amp gravitates more towards acoustic

I don't think having a few amps is abnormal or unreasonable. And as far as I go, I have a Splawn Pro Mod, a Marshall JVM 410H (modded), a Mesa Triple Rectifier, a Peavey VTM120, and a little Peavey Vypyr 15. But there's a few amps that I still want to get, such as a Boogie Mark Five, a Rhodes Colossus, a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, a 5150, ect, but for now I've put a halt on buying amps until I get around to building at least one or two.

just with my acoustics. i do use it to test electrics on my bench since its small and ss but id never play out with it other than with an acoustic.

i was doing an acoustic duo and we each had one which was sweet. no pa, just two loudboxes.

One for home, one for rehearsals, one (and a spare) for onstage, and a variety for recording with. That makes what, about a dozen? I agree, more than twenty is overkill. But I reserve the right to up that to 30 if I ever hit twenty myself...
