The biggest of the old sedans and wagons hold a very tight grip on my heart, but unless I have the money for a complete powertrain pullout from a modern vehicle, I'm not biting. I've had fever-dreams of putting truck diesels in vehicles that size though. Burning biodiesel or cooking oil of course, since I'm one o' them. Now I've got even worse ideas...hybrid. Plenty of room everywhere in those for battery packs...
My cuz pulled up in a mid 60's Ford Galaxy the other day he bought off eBay.
I grew up with these old cars and miss them. But if I can imagine that it would be in for repairs all the time.

Be right back. I'm gonna jump on my guitar and fly off to the grocery store like some sort of heavy metal warlock. I'm hoping the double-cut wasn't a bad idea because if I need to make any sudden stops I'm gonna get an upper bout in the lower butt.

no, time conflicts abound. No place to put 100lb of squirming kids and the wife has been getting home from work around dusk, so it's sitting in the garage, all forlorn.

yea, I need a good one. I was hoping to find a 2nd hand xtracycle somewhere, but those are in short supply. The standard old aluminum/canvas trailers are tight for my leggy kids. I've been looking for a tandem trailer (2 seats, cockpit style) but it's non-existent in my searches. Kind of a pissa.
My bike trailer handles 100lbs of squirming kids.

Besides my sunburst guitars, all of them are a custom hot rod finish........on purpose. I grew up with a car nut as a father. I was at car shows or races every other weekend. My dad had a lot of cool cars....mostly Vette's, but my guitar gear collection probably trumps his car collection at this point. :fingersx:
