What's cool in trem pedals?

Hi all,

I'm working on a song right now that needs tremolo. Currently I've been using my friend's 70s Ibanez flying Pan with only one channel out for a very choppy trem, and it sounds great, but that pedal ain't getting gigged, so I need to get one.

I used the trem on my old vibrolux, but I've never had use for a trem pedal. So what's out there, and what do you recommend?

(tap tempo would be a big plus...)

From the Seymour Duncan Company:

It's got tap tempo (synced to the quarter note, eighth note, eighth triplet or sixteenth note), level control (Boss' downfall), wave control (Sine, through saw to square wave) and shape control. (Shpae is the best feature in my book, vintage amps don't cycle through a sine wave evenly due to the tube driving them, they rise a little faster or slower than they fall. You can recreate this with the SFX-07).

The problem is, it doesn't do the stereo thing like the Flying Pan. Then again, the Flying Pan is one of the most collectable stomps ever...

Re: What's cool in trem pedals?

i have spent some time with the shape shifter and it kicks ass!!

im gonna give it a real thorough work out this weekend but it sounds great. the outside knobs are even pretty easy to manipulate with your foot on stage so you can change the depth or rate. when you change the rate from 1:1 to 2:1 it stays right on time which is sweet for a solo
