What's my trapeze tailpiece worth?

Re: What's my trapeze tailpiece worth?

Given its from the 70's.....way more than its actually worth. Good for you of course.

In fact you'll probably be able to sell most things quite easily, sorry shape or not, from that era.

I don't think its worth any more then $50.00 to $100.00, I could be wrong but 70's are not all that great of a guitar.

Things such as prices can get weird on Ebay. For instance, I worked at a music shop and was given a beat up Fender Bandmaster head. Now I want to be clear of a few things. It was just the wooden part of the head, no electronics. It was also beat to crap. When I posted it on Ebay, I made sure to let people know what bad shape it was in. But I did have a picture of the inside where it showed all the Bandmaster info and schematics. That way, people knew it was for real, just in bad shape.

I figured if I could get $10 plus shipping that would be a win. I mean, hey, it was given to me for free, right? The bidding ended with it selling for $80 plus $20 shipping. It shocked me. Just a head, no electronics, and I described it as being a negative 2 out of 10. (Yes, I really did say that.)

Since it has that magical Gibson name on it, you could get a very surprising price for your tailpiece. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

It's very difficult to "move" a random part like that anywhere but on the Internet. It's worth whatever bidders on E-Bay decide to pay for it, minus about 12 or 13 percent that you'll have to pay in fees in order to sell on E-Bay. I'd just throw it up there and take whatever the highest bid is. Make sure your photos are in focus and high resolution, and your description is straightforward and simple, and you'll do a bit better than a lot of sellers with the same item.

I got an atari ste off ebay for $30 with the original noteator software/dongle. Sold the software after about a year of not using it for $500 then at the start of this year i sold the atari itself for $200. haha not a bad profit imo

It's only worth what you can get for it.
