Yes, and if you really want to nail that tone, you have to have Celestion Alnico Blues in ure cabs, and EL84s in ure chassis... That would be my bet, but any "small to medium" Fenderish amp can give you the tone as well (as said before Vibrolux).
Yup- I like the Deluxe reverb, but the Vibrolux's 2-10's are snappier/punchier and it's got a few more cojones.
Paisley uses the DR. Z stuff, but I think that's more vox ac-30 inspired-still cool though.
I think each of these players are somewhat untouchable-Mason, Paisley and I'd throw in Gatton, of course. Hiland is absolutely great, but I can see his influences pretty clearly, and I can't really consider him an original. Not to take anything away from him, though. All have my total respect.
I'm still coping licks from him. I found another cool dvd from a yet another guy I've never heard of and it's killer! (Where are all these telemasters coming from?) His style is a little different from Seven but sweet and fast and a little better communicator. Let me know if your interested and I'll try to dig up some info. on how to pick one up.
Deluxe Reverb is a good choice or Twin. Ill say though i am in love with those Vox Valvetronix series. I am picking one up next week and the twin model sounds so close to my bros real twin even from an 8 inch speaker
