Years ago I found Everly's and they were good but cheap. What other brands that work well but are crazy expensive?

the ones that Lidl sell (german market chain) : 9.99 EUR/5 Sets. Can't beat that.

You playing that much ?

Define "good" I stick with GHS - but will use D'addario. You got that much tone that it matters?

Had some NY XL's lately - really liked them.

I have been a EB and a GHS 10-52 player in my Les Pauls for years but I just bought some Rotosound Blues 10-52s.
My last few sets of Ernie Balls haven't lasted very long and I wanted to switch.
I have never liked GHS until they were half worn out, new they were just too bright.
The Rotos get good reviews and I hope they live up to their hype.
In my quest this year I have also tried DRs and hated em.
SITs I bought 4 sets of 1048s for my LTD H1001 and love em.
I bought Dunlop 9s for my RG Prestige and love them as well.
I love Slinkys and maybe I just got a bad run but I haven't liked my last 4 sets. I bought 2 sets at a local store in my hometown and 2 sets at Guitar Center in Louisville..
I am gonna show England some love and give the Rotosounds a go..
If they dont work I am going to play SITs or Dunlops. I love both of them, fantastic strings!

I'm looking for good price on 10 pack boxes. Not that I play *that* much but I have a lot of guitars that hang on the wall and my humidity levels here are always fairly high. Nothing worse than grabbing a guitar to play and have the strings need replacing. And basically I've run out of all the Everly's I stocked up on. :)

If you buy in quantity, Sweetwater has the best deals.on most things because shipping is included.

Strings and Beyond sometimes will have some seriously good deals. Same with Amazon. For.awhile I was getting 10 packs of Dads shipped for $26 (prime)

I've tried bargain basement strings and high end specialty strings. I always come back to D'Addarios. By them in bulk packs when on sale and you won't spend any more than you will on no-name strings.

My favorite electric strings are the DR Extra Life coated strings, specifically the Silver Stars in 10-46. They're a bit spendy at about $10 a set, but if you have acid hands like me, they make up for it by lasting three or four times as long as bare metal sets, without sacrificing tone.

Thanks for putting up the MF link! I bought a 10 pack awhile back and have run dry. not that you asked for feedback on what anyone runs, but since others have chimed in.... I havent tried a whole lot of diff strings. (sometimes I wonder if Im missing out) but I tried a couple of diff things years back and mostly only experiment now if someone throws in a set with a purch or something. Otherwise I just stick with the Daddarios.. Only flux is whether to buy .009s for my 25.5' scale guits or .010s for my 24.75" scale guits..

I like Dunlops. When I had my string saver card, I would spend $0.23 on a new set every month.
