With all these great threads that the ACEMAN is throwing up here and all the fantastic guitars, it made me think about what guitar has really felt so good you did not want to put it down. Forget looks, forget sound... just think about how it played. You may well have not bought the guitar, you may not have wanted it or even been able to afford it... it may have been so ugly it put you off.
This is for fun, so let's not BS each other and just say it's our most expensive guitar (although it may well be).
So, I'll start. As stated above no BS... so it's not either of my LP's, it wasn't the super expensive Gibson guitar that was built by Tom Murphy for the '92 NAMM show. My Wayne T Type is the one. It plays so easily, the action was so low I had to raise it although there were no dead spots or buzzing, it balances beautifully and is nice and light. The neck is similar to a MM EVH or Peavey Wolf but just a little wider at the nut. It's a beast of a guitar and I have took that guitar into shops to play it back to back against PRS, Tyler and Suhrs with a view to getting a guitar that may equal it but looks better i.e not so plain but I have always ended up going home with the Wayne!
What have you played that was simply awesome?
