Whats the best way to clean up hiss on High Gain amps like Marshalls

Re: Whats the best way to clean up hiss on High Gain amps like Marshalls

Hey bro,

I'm using a Boss NS2 with my TSL602 and it works very well at eliminating that hiss. Once set correctly, my Boss doesn't rob any tone at all. The NS2 really helps recude the hiss to a more tolerable level. While some hiss is still present, its hardly noticeable now. I say a noise pedal is a must, especially if you play loud.

But the catch is that it messes with your tone. You may not care about what the NS-2 does to your playing dynamics, but it does change it. It's a shame too because I've always felt the NS-2 cuts out more noise than the ISP Decimator without cutting off the end of the notes.

Yeaa Im not a fan of noise gates for one and my tone can't be messed with cause I love it. I'll just have to try some different arrangements in my chain and just learn to deal with it haha
