Whats The Dc Resistance And Gauss Of The 78 Evh Pu?

anyone know? I'm wondering because I want to compare, I remember I came a cross this on a forum with a picture of someones evh custom shop PU and it had all the details but I've been searching for-ever and I cant find anything. What is "Gauss" measuring anyway?

Also why do the single-coil sized Hums have ceramic magnets instead of alnico and the DC resistance different as well, is it to compensate the smaller magnetic field? Because I know the lil' pearly gates has an alnico magnet

LIl pearly gates? Maybe you mean the lil screamin demon?!?

I think an Alnico Mag would not be strong enough in a small size.
Single-Coils which have magnet bars (instead magnet rods) also use ceramics instead alnicos.

no its a single coil sized humbucker that the custom shop offers thats a pearly gates and it has a alnico 2 magnet in it. thats why Im wondering
