25's Nemesis
Hell everyone.
I've been swapping pickups in my instruments around for a while now, and have tried a bunch of different humbuckers, ranging from PAF copies, to filtertron and P90's in a humbucker case, to active, high output models.
The whole time, I've never tried a SH6 in any guitar, probably because the name threw me off.
I don't always play with distortion, so I stayed away. Recently, I've been shopping for humbuckers and came across a few used SH-6's.
My question is: How versatile is the SH6? Is it a one trick pony? Can it venture into other areas besides heavy rock and metal?
