Whats the difference between CE-5 and CH-1?

I'm looking for a chorus pedal and had the opportunity to try the Boss CE-5 chorus emsemble and the CH-1 super chorus. I've tried both on my home rig and can't really tell or hear a difference.

Can anyone explain where the difference is, other than the tone pot?

I have a CH-1 . Never tried the CE-5. I willing to guess it's the same
curcuit with just adding HI/LO switch to the CE-5 ? You can probaly
get the same effect by turning the EQ knob on the CH-1 hard L or R ?

Thats pretty much what I'm experiencing. I was thinking one would sound different, but they pretty much sound the same... otherwise, why would they offer 2 models that sound the same?

You really can't hear the difference??

It was really noticable to me. The CE-5 takes a lot of bottom end out of your tone. Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter uses one, but his tone is already really fat and punchy because of the guitars and marshall amps that he uses.
Think of the intro to "Be quiet and drive"

The CH-1 has more of a classic sound. It is more subtle than the CE-5, but sounds warmer, punchier and doesn't kill your bottom end. It won't take the bass out of your sound. I like it much better, and it is versatile too. You'll get more 'Cure' and 'Smiths' sounds out of the CH-1

Try them both again. You should be able to hear the difference.
