Mark's been through a few OLPs and manages to make them look good.

Here's one with the Floyd.

Something I didn't know until the other day is that OLP is part of the same outfit as Traben and Michael Kelly. Useless trivia, I know...

I like them and they are reasonably priced. They don't stay great very long though. With regular play, expect them to last about a year before everything goes crazy with the frets and action.

That really doesn't help...thats the same color as the one in the store!

Thanks for the replies guys, if I find a Wolfgang around here I'm going to try it out and see how much better it is that the OLP...if it's that much better I don't think I'd be able to buy the OLP. But we'll see what happens. Thanks again guys!

I'm pretty sure Dan-Ola is talking about direct mounting the pickup. You will have to drill out the mounting tabs on the Brobucker in order to direct mount it.

How difficult would it be for someone to do this?

How much does a real axis go for. And also, I don't know if a wolfgang is the same thing, and if its different, how much does that go for?

well since the Wolfgang is not made anymore it could be hard to put a figure on it.... I like the Wolfgangs.. but i believe everyone agrees the EB AXIS is a better guitar all around... but in general terms they share a lot of the same features... Used American Wolfgangs are selling around $1500 these days here in Canada and new EB's start at $1500 Canadian...

every OLP axis style i played has been extremely nice comfortable and easy to play on. from the single neck to a double neck and a 12 string they've all been fun. Definatly worth the purschase.
