What's with the tone chart?

So I'm trying to compare pickups and I see some new products and try to listen to a sample and it does not exist.
Also the T/M/B has zero numbers. I'm referring to the SH-18 and there are no audio samples of the Full Shred SH-10.
How long has this been going on? Good way to lose a customer. :headache:

as for the whole lotta humbucker sh-18 i have no idea of why it is not updated but i am sure it is just a oversight, i really doubt seymour is out to turn players away?
So rather than get turned off just call the custom shop, they will answer any questions you have.

Seymour makes what are to me the best pu's available for the price but sometimes web sites have issues which have nothing to do with the quality of the product. You may want to mention that it fustrated you that you could not find this info out on the tone chart or sound samples, they may not even be aware of these things?

oh grow up.

look around on youtube for clips, read reviews, maybe even ask people here for opinions on those pickups. It's really not that hard to be resourceful instead of whining and playing the pissed off customer card.

Re: What's with the tone chart?

The T/M/B number thing is ridiculous… it’s not a good basis to make a judgment on any pickup.
It would be nice if someone at SD went through and uniformly updated all the audio samples.

do have to say that someone pretty high up the food chain told me about a year ago that all that was about to happen... as well as a better pickup picker tool. so yeah, it is good when there is some feedback to help remind a company of how important some of those things are to some people when they are trying to decide on an item.

Re: What's with the tone chart?

The P-Rails and a few others also have 0/0/0 stats. Pay it no mind. The only real test is to install the pickup in YOUR guitar and play in through YOUR amplification in YOUR way.

Re: What's with the tone chart?

I'll talk to engineering, most of those are new entries though so I expect they will be updated shortly.

We are focusing on all new samples, I don't want to say when since it may change but recording is and has been happening.

Amazing...when I go to the compare tone chart and enter the full shred pickup there are no audio samples to be found? Thanks for the link, but it would be a plus if the compare tone feature worked.
