What's your acoustic strings choice,

When I actually studied classical guitar, and played daily, the strings would wear out pretty quickly, mostly due to the wound strings getting dented. But when they sit, they last forever.

My nylon strings lasted forever, too, until I moved to Florida. The constant 100% humidity is death to strings no matter if you use the guitar or not.

Knew a guy I used to hate when he'd play my guitars........think he sweated acid or something (was an odd fellow, must of been an alien ;) ), something about his body pH or whatever, strings would always corrode to crap soon after he touched anything no matter how much I wiped things down after he'd leave :D

yeah I just play on with dented wound nylon strings, unless they fully start to unravel and just won't hold tune for more than a minute or two, not much of an issue anymore, the couple I have now have really nice action and don't take a lot of press to not buzz.

did some other asking/reading..........it mostly is just a gauge thing with the sets that say they're for 3/4 or 1/2 size, I mean I knew it wasn't just a length thing.

Elixir Phosphor Bronze Light on my Taylor, as that's what came with it. Haven't changed my nylon strings in years, and don't know what's even on it!

I've 0layed a big baby with those, it was magical, so that's what I ordered for my ovation.
For the nylon strings I'll do a little more research on The Elixir EJ-45TT, EJ- 49 and DR Dragonskins.
