What's your current GAS?

Well, I was GAS-free, for a couple days. I was going to have Voodoo amps mod my Marshall DSL50, but now there is a new soundclip of the V-Plex up and I think I'm in love :D

Trace said there are no pedals in front of this amp for the sound clips (just an attenuator).

Re: What's your current GAS?

I would really like to get a LP style guitar. I'm looking at either an Epi LP Custom or an ESP EC-1000. It may be awhile before I get one though. I'm also gas'n for a new pedal. I'm thinking a delay pedal might not hurt. There's a dozen more I could probably think of but if I keep typing I'll never get my work done, and then I won't have a job to afford any of that stuff. :laugh2:

Re: What's your current GAS?

I'm GASing for the new 18w Suhr 3 channel head. I'm very happy with my current setup however (the Bad Cat owns) :D.

Re: What's your current GAS?

I have no GAS at the moment.

If I have the opportunity I'll get a Dean V79 because I played one and I liked it much but it's not a necessity. I may get a matching 4X12" Marshall cab for my SL-X if appears somewhere for a decent price but it's not a necessity. Of course, a Diezel VH4S or a Hackman amp is always a welcome buddy in my arsenal but I won't sell my car or other belongongs to get one. Now I have pretty much everything I need and some more. Instead of my former habit of chasing gadgets and building a monster rig I just want to concentrate more on playing and writing new material for our second album.

Re: What's your current GAS?

I basically just need to "re-pickup" my Telecaster with hum-canceling pickups  .

Re: What's your current GAS?

i want to get a set of SD vintage stack for tele pickups, a new (bone) nut, a 4 way switch for my tokai, and new cap and pots while we're at it

i want to trade/sell one of my closed back boogie 1x12" closed back cabs (celestion 90W) and replace it with a boogie 1x12" open back with an evm-12L

i want a shallow 2 space rack case (skb/gator/etc) for the new carvin dcm600 i just ordered

and on the 'no time soon' list is a fireglow ric 660-12

cheers

Re: What's your current GAS?

Don't think I have any at the momment

But if someone is willing to throw away a high end amp and a Honey Burst Les Paul I'm willing to keep them

Re: What's your current GAS?

im after a fender tele. failing that a maple-board strat, or a jaguar. MIM or MIJ preferably - more money to stick duncans in them

really gassing for an unusual fender in general... anyones got a jag, jazzmaster, cyclone, (anything really) in the UK for sale, drop me a pm :)

i've had enough of actives ;)

Re: What's your current GAS?

A Flying V :D I've been looking at some Dean's and jap lawsuit knockoff's.
The New Dean 79' series looks cool,But I'm not in love with the headstock.
I'm think'in about going Warmoth. A nice Korina wood body and a neck
w/t a Ebony board, string thru tune-o-matic with a PG's bridge and APH-II
neck. :)

Re: What's your current GAS?

bugger, that too...

just one guitar built over a few years, with top-notch parts... save up for a flame top strat or tele body, flamed/birdseye neck.. i dunno, something for the grandkids :laugh2:

Re: What's your current GAS?

I'm currently GAS'ing over a pawn shop find. Apparently, its a MIJ ES-335 copy. Its called a Ventura. Its a cherry-sunburst in excellent condition. The pickups are a bit odd. They look like covered 'buckers, but one set of pole-pieces is the normal round type, while the other set, (on the same pup), is rectangular. Not sure what the function of that is, but the guitar is nice.

I may actually get it.

Found a pic on eBay:

Made in Korea, Indonesia or not, the '79 I played had the best price/feel/tone ratio in its range, actually tonally it knocked out all other non-Gibby "V"s in the shop and for me, for feel some genuine Gibby "V"s, too...

General truth: something that rocks your boat will not necessarlily rock yours ;) It's the huge reverse-V Dean headstock that caught me, for my taste it compliments way better the "V" body than anything else I've seen.

You know what? Let's drink to it! :D

:beerchug: :friday:

The korina Warmoth is killer. AAAargh... I feel the disease... No... Not again... :smack: ;)
