What's your current GAS?

Re: What's your current GAS?

right now, a masrhall dsl 401, and a gibson studio les paul, or some epiphone to sooth my les paul craving tooth!

Re: What's your current GAS?

A Snugtop Tonneau cover for my Dodge Dakota Quadcab V8. Right now, I don't know what I'd do if it were raining and I had to move stuff.

Re: What's your current GAS?

All I want is maybe a 4x12 cab with low-watt speakers (i'm thinkin vintage 30's) and something to make my distortion sound smoother...ever since i finished the Warmoth and put new pups in my Fender, my GAS has subsided...

Maybe I should get one of those, y'know, band things.

Re: What's your current GAS?

Duncan JB to try in neck, then bridge, if I don't like it in the neck, then a Jazz to try, the JB might or might not replace my DD. and an EMG Ha. May or may not want a reverb pedal, have to wait on the pickups and see.

I'm currently GAS'ing over a pawn shop find. Apparently, its a MIJ ES-335 copy. Its called a Ventura. Its a cherry-sunburst in excellent condition. The pickups are a bit odd. They look like covered 'buckers, but one set of pole-pieces is the normal round type, while the other set, (on the same pup), is rectangular. Not sure what the function of that is, but the guitar is nice.

I may actually get it.

Found a pic on eBay:

Ventura guitar
Hey Artie, my first "good" electric was a Ventura SG copy. It was actually a great guitar, I played the s**t out of it and it kept coming back for more. I traded it in for a Ventura LP Custom copy that had those same pickups as your guitar. Really a ballsy guitar, made lots of good music with it. I really like the old Venturas. This all took place around '73-'74.
