To me, a pickup or speaker that has a warm tone has no trace of shrillness or ice picky treble. For example, I wouldn't call a 59B warm...but I would a Seth Lover and a Custom Custom. The 59B is one of my favorite pickups, but a guy could set the EQ on his amp to make it sound to bright and harsh...it'd be much harder to do that with a Seth Lover or Custom Custom. Lew
