What's your dream rig?

I'm sure this has been posted before but this is just for fun, but what would you guys have if you could have any guitar, amp, effects setup? I'm pretty satisfied with my tone now but my dream rig would be: guitar:either my les paul or an r7 reissue goldtop and an r9. amps: a voodoo v-plex plexi through an orange 4x12 w/ x pattern greenbacks and g12h30 for dirty. a vintage ac-50 through an orange 4x12 w/alnico blues for clean. mmmmm what about you guys?

Re: What's your dream rig?

Here's what it would take me to be content:

Amp: the new John Suhr 3-channel 50w amp coming out this winter through oversized Bogner 2x12 with 50w ceramic doped Weber Silver Bell/ Blue Dog speakers

Guitars:

Gibson 57RI LP w/ Wagner Fillmore pickups
my current Grosh Bent Top Custom w/ Wagner SR single coils and Wagner Dark Burst
1955 Gretsch White Falcon

Pedals:
Furman power conditioning
Analogman NTK275 Sun Face fuzz
2 Analogman King of Tone pedals
an Ibanez TS-808 modded by John :)
the new EVH MXR Phase 90
Teese RMC-3 wah
Guytron MD-3 delay
the new Peterson strobe stomp tuner

That would make me very, very happy.

Re: What's your dream rig?

My dream "rig" would be to have healthy hands for the rest of my life (knock on wood).

Re: What's your dream rig?

If I could afford it, the only upgrade I would make is the new Gibson '60 Les Paul reissue. I'd keep everything else I have. :)

Re: What's your dream rig?

well i have to say that i like the tone i have now but i would upgrade a few things.

first i would like to have another almost hollow guitar like my bluesbird. an esquire and a true jazz box.

for amps i would like to add a divided by 13 combo amp and maybe something like a matchless.

for pedals, a korg tuner, zvex fuzz factory, lovepedal karl, another compressor and something like the voodoo labs microvibe. I would of course use a lehle switcher so i could play through all or just one amp at a time.

I think i kept it rather simple too

Man, I would've loved to have had a Grosh at age 20!

Good for you Chris.

Re: What's your dream rig?

I didn't know guitars counted... oh... throw in a Custom Shop Strat made for me just how I like 'em and a Gibby LP Custom.

Thanks Jonny :)

Shows what happens when you're anal about spending money and you don't have any expenses living under your parents roof. I pay $100 a month for car insurance and spend about $20 on gas a week, besides that... I save all the rest. Anything doesn't meet my full expectations, I sell :smack: Patience is a virtue and good deals aren't always readily available :)

Now I need the chops to actually warrant something this good. ;)

Just a heads up to fellow forum bros, clips will be done soon! (just got my Shure SM57 mic today :bigok: ) I'm not sure my Triamp is the "end all" amp, but it sounds better than most of the stuff I've played (and I've played a lot).

Sorry for getting off topic there

Re: What's your dream rig?

my dream rig would perhaps be a gibson standard lp, into a mesa duel recto amp and recto cab. For pedals i guess a wah would be all i need.

BUT if it was my choice id be a gear whore and have over 20 amps and even more guitars.

Re: What's your dream rig?

My dream rig would consist of:

a huuuuge variety of Strats and other Fenders, a bunch of 60's Gibsons (SG, ES-335, V and i guess a Les Paul) a Jackson Custom Shop Soloist, USA Handmade BC Rich Warlock, and whatever other crappy guitars I like (Daisy Rock, Univox :D :D :D)

Probably the same amp I have now, or possibly a Fender Twin...

Solid distortion pedal like a DS-1, maybe modified to sound more to my liking, a Small Clone chorus 'cuz you gotta have some trippy sounds, and.........that's it.

So that's where I've gone so wrong... :smack:

Re: What's your dream rig?

Dream rig, huh?

I once dreamed that I plugged a telecaster into an overripe marrow. Toneful and portable, but not especially roadworthy.

As for the standard definition of 'dream rig':

p90 goldtop LP and McCarty Soapbar with Brazillian rosewood neck.
Les Paul TV special and r8 std.
Fender CS, Suhr or Anderson Strats.
Fender relic nocaster, tele jnr and a Custom version of the aerodyne tele.
Custom Alder bodied paisley tele.
Floyd rose redmond guitar.

Fender Vibro King, bf super reverb, tweed and blonde tremolux, tweed champ and bassman. Tweed twin.
Plexi marshall. Bogner Ecstacy (I'm taking your word on this one, GJ).
Handwired Vox Ac30 or Matchless DC30.
60s Ampeg Jet.
THD Univalve and flexi 50.

And pretty much every pedal under the sun.
