Let's hear what your favorite guitar cable brands are. Also this will help me decide what kind to get when I get some more cash soon to upgrade from my decent cables that I still use since I first started guitar.
i make my own from canare cables and neutrik jacks or belden cables and switchcraft jacks. much cheaper in a long run. off the rack, you have what klink said and of course, monster! :22:
My cables of choice now are Zaolla Silverline's. Silver conductor, ridiculous shielding, and gold-plated plugs all make for a great, transparent-sounding guitar cable, with impressive signal strength. Not easy on the wallet, though.
I have monsters that i use now, although my favorite cable i have which i'm going to get a second one of to replace both my monsters with is the pro co excalibur...i've had this one for about 3 years and it has never given me a problem, no static, popping or crackling noises etc. my monsters had to be replaced after under 6 months due to crackling and popping noise whenever i touched them. the pro co also has a great 20 year no questions asked warantee on it...not as good as monster but heck 20 years is more than enough if you ask me.
Interested in Analysis Plus Oval 9 speaker cable. Carr amps use this, and I'm wondering how this would go with the SLO. Not real, real cheap at all......... http://www.analysis-plus.com/Pages/speakercables.htm
Planet Waves for guitar to amp and pedalboard to amp connections, George L's for connecting individual pedals. Monster cables are way overpriced, and no better than some of the other brands mentioned.
Also for those of you who use Planet Waves cables can you tell me the difference between the Classic Series and the Custom Series? I'm not sure which kind to get.
