When ordering Warmoth pickguards...

Do y'all order trembucker cut outs, or humbucker cut outs? Does it make a huge difference if I'm using Duncan trem-spaced humbucker at the bridge?

The size is different so if you'll definitely use a trembucker, you'd be better off with a trembucker cut.

...if in doubt as to the pickup though, maybe you'd be better with a normal cut and adjust yourself if you think you'd do a good enough job of it.

I am with Playas. I get the normal cut and then adjust. You do not have to remove much material and it is a tighter fit in the end.

If you have trembuckers, get the trembucker route. It is wider to accommodate the wider spaced pickup. Trem spaced pickups in the Humbucker route is a tight fit I know from experience.

If you got the pickguard made for a standard humbucker and then tried to widen the cutout for a trembucker, would you run into the screw holes on the sides?

I've only had to nibble at the corners, but this was on generic pickguards. I've never dealt with warmoth.

It’s possible. The entire pickup is wider, baseplate included.
