I use two:

- the Mojo Scale, cuz it's gotta have feelz
- the Earworm Scale, cuz it's gotta stick in people's heads

Technical wizardry and incendiary shredding is awesome and all, but no one's gonna remember it afterwards and they're definitely not going to hum it
while sweeping their garage.

I'll give one example of a master soloist who utilizes the above "scales" in his soloing:

Here are some of my favorites. I particularly like the symmetrical scales, the Phrygian mode, the Locrian mode and Hungarian Minor.

I use a Sunbeam scale, because it’s accurate and I can subtract my body weight to find out the weight of the guitar!!!!!!!!!’nnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@;@;;/)$&$$)&&”@“

In a top-down way, I use the chromatic scale only, with random notes skipped.

Typical rock-n-roll-slash-R&B-based mash of major pentatonic, minor pentatonic, "blues" scale, mixolydian, major, and minor, in any combination that suits. Very few songs stay strictly within a single scale, melodically.
