Where can I buy covered customs?

Topic says it all. Do SD make the custom with cover, or do I have to buy a cover seperately? I've heard adding pu-covers is quite a nightmare.

I can put one together for you and wax pot it if you like. Or you might be able to find one already covered from another dealer. I doubt it though. A nickel covered Custom is not something that many people ask for so not many dealers would stock such an item. They can be special ordered from Duncan Pickups...might be a bit of a wait though. When I ordered mine with the "light soldered" covers it took a couple of weeks.
If Lew can put you one together pretty quick that would be faster.
Either way. :)

Just buy some covers separately and keep them laying around. Then you can just buy a Custom and slap the ready and waiting cover right on it.

I think I saw one on Ebay yesterday.

Lew,

How much would you charge to do something like this? A custom normally sells for ~65 right? Also, if i decided, could you put a gold cover on instead?

I'm pretty sure you can get them from warmoth.I'm not sure though, you should check it out.

Keep an eye out on ebay...that's where I got mine! I think the Custom actually sounds better with a cover on it, more round and a little less harsh.

FYI: Gibson neck position humbucker covers work just fine on standard spaced Duncans. I've used them many times with absolutely no problems.
