Where can I get a Hardtail Strat?

I want to build a Hardtail strat but where can I even find a body? other then warmoth.

does fender make any MIM hardtail strats?

the only MIM hardtail fender strat i know of that you may be able to find used now is the Tom Delonge signature strat. if i'm not mistaken they are routed H/S/H so you can do a bunch of things with it.

If you just do a search for "Hardtail" under the general category of "Guitars" on eBay a few will pop up. Usually bodies someone is parting out, USA's primarily. Some whole guitars. Warmoth makes great bodies, as does USA Custom's.

as for Fenders you will be limited to a Tom Delonge or a MIM Robert Cray...unless you go MIA

Thanks for all the help guys

I think I will keep look on ebay because I dont want to spend $145+ on just a body.
Anybody know how much a hardtail body usually goes for on ebay? I'd guess less then a trem version.

There is NO WAY you'll find a Fender Strat body for less than $145 on ebay, IMHO, MIA, MIM or MIanywhere else.

A hardtail body would probably be more expensive, because they are much harder to find then regular Strat bodies which will increase the number of people bidding on them.

I would definitely go the Warmoth or USGC route.

Man... I hate warmoth sooooooooo much but I guess I will have to order one from them
