Generally in my right pocket. All I keep in there is my cell phone and two picks. I sit down on stage and have spent a long time on picking technique so my chances of dropping them are almost nil.. it's happened once or twice but I've also practiced fingerpicking for just such occasions.
I've been playing with thumbpicks recently too so I keep one in my pocket, and once it's one my thumb it's going nowhere.
