Where does one find the plugs/inserts to fill unused Control Holes on a Guitar Body?

I've seen these Black Plastic or Rubber Plugs that people use to fill the Control Openings on their guitar bodies; ex: you have a Vol/Tone/Tone on your rear mount Kramer Body but you only want to use a Volume and then use the Black Plugs to insert into the unused openings...where the heck do you find those???

I was using carriage bolts that I painted black.

Thank you both for the responses.

Dominus...with the Carriage Bolts - were you having to nut 'em down from inside the Control Cavity? Presume they're available in different sizes?

ehdwuld...Auto Panel Filler Plugs...of course, I'm familar with those and that's exactly what I've been seeing used.

They're hole plugs, as simple as that. Just need to measure the holes in the body and get ones in that size. Stick a drill bit through to see what size they are, usually 3/8" for pots 1/2" for toggles.

Home depot has chrome and white listed on their site, odds are they have black too.

Kitchen? Or take a scalpel to, well, just about any material you want (or an xacto knife if youre afraid to walk on the wild side....might even work, sometimes)

Yup, so I'd just get the shortest bolts they'd have most of the time, and thread a nut through and just finger tighten it if the cavity was on the small side. The threads were the perfect size for pot holes, and they worked just fine for 3 way switch holes as well.

Hot-glue an RC Cola bottle cap on there!

If I'm going to refinish something I fill with dowel.

One could hot glue any number of cool things over the hole

Dice
Lego
Hang a monkey out

Or you could always leave pots in the holes and put knobs on them. Even if they're not in use, it'll still fit with the vibe of the guitar and the look will be consistent. YOu can even get some of the fancy knobs like skulls or 8-balls and put them on there.

I get mine from Ace Hdwe but I use Harley seat plugs as well.

This is what I did on mine. Only have the bridge pickup wired up, but all of the pickup cavities and pot holes have something in it so it looks stock.

The only issue with the bolt is put it down too tight and metal will gouge wood. Or even plastic.

Ace Hardware - of course…. :)
