Where to Get Boxes for Shipping Guitars?

I tried Guitar Center and got turned down (like always). Hardshell case dimensions of 3.5ft x 1.5ft x .5ft. Where to look now?

Local music stores are ALWAYS my 1st stop and 9 times out of ten they come through!!!

just order another new guitar online and when it gets there use that box to ship out the old one....LOL.

Go back this Sunday and raid the dumpster. A Friday evening is good too, becase they set up all the sale displays in the afternoon.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys...despite the rationality of some!

I called GC again and spoke to a different representative, and to my surprise, they managed to free up a box within the hour!! Wow? ****ers.

I never go inside GC to get boxes, I go in back. The one here has a dumpster set aside just for cardboard and has boxes available by the truckload.

^Ditto. As stated before, I've found riser platforms and cymbal stands in addition to packing material back there.

Teh GC employee that was theiving them probably was pissed when he went back there with his car that night.

I have done this before too! Bike boxes work great!!
