1. Go actually play your instruments instead of whining about placebo effects.
2. The OP is a ******bag retard.
3. You're not going to hear the difference between a 500k pot and a 480k pot in a band-setting or in a mix. The only reason you're so concerned about those minuscule differences is probably because you sit at home playing by yourself, and that's it. At least we won't have to hear your awful playing anytime soon!

first off,i do play in a band,one thats signed,and i have a guitar tech come on the road with me,so i picked up a thing or two....and one thing i picked up....is pots are very important,and are not "minuscule differences" as u so idiotically put it...your not on a level to have any amp,or guitar conversation with any knowledgeable person on this site.

how many high end guitars have you fixed or built? how many amps have you built? probably none,do you even know how to solder?....i have built 2 guitars from the ground up....and one amp,thats not by any means a big deal to anyone in the industry,but i'm sure it's more then what you've done.
and yet,you want to talk sh*t

some of the people on here are very informative,and i'm very interested in what they have to say,but you seem like one of those players that don't give a sh*t about your tone,so how can you give a sh*t about your playing...and i'm the awful player...please,homie i can play anything from blues to shred,so again your just talking out of your ass.

next time come correct or just shut your mouth it's that simple.

On a serious note, assertion without supporting evidence = bad science. The OP asserts that four CTS "500 kOhm" pots were crap but has not quantified the degree of "crapiness" or any tangible consequences of the pots' shortcomings.

2. Yeah, I definitely don't give a rats ass about my tone. I run a production company and I could care less what the guitars on my recordings sound like, you're right.
2. Prove it. Any of it. Clips, pictures, websites, videos, whatever.
