Where to get the short hex screws (ala Full Shred)?

... that ships to Canada?

I've seen a bunch of places that sell hex screws for pickups, but most of them seem to have the same lenght as the regular flathead screws. I'd like to get some of the shorter hex screws to convert one of those Duncan IBZ Distortion Trembuckers that look like Screamin' Demons to dual hexes.

It would be cool if they sell both black and nickel finishes, but regular black ones will do.

So... anyone know where I can get those?

Thanks!

Mark them where you want them cut with a Sharpie, then drop them by your local machine shop.

The thing is I haven't bought them yet, LOL.

So wouldn't it be easier (and cheaper) to buy the right ones off the bat than to get some random ones and modify them either myself or by a shop? :32:

Just dawned on me I could have sent you the ones I am taking out of my BBWs
Thank you. I already ordered a bunch.

Question though... do the polepieces have any sort of marking on the top? I remember having a BBW as well, and I do remember the screws having some sort of writing... I think?

I don't see anything

I do see a ton of dead skin cells. Next time I buy used pickups I am hitting them with Lysol, no joke.
I like buying cheap stuff as much as anyone, but I must admit I'm a little grossed out by those pickups from people who never wipe down their guitars all covered in grime and rust, LOL.

SD production pickup hex screws from the past few years are made by YFS. The ones without marking are USA-made and typically reserved for Custom Shop orders, though I've seen them use the YFS ones in a pinch.

Also, not all hex screws are created equal in terms of their alloy/carbon content. Still, you might like the results, depending on what you're going for.

Thank you.

The ones I bought are supposedly 12.9 grade. But I don't know how that translates to the "1018" thing... if at all.
