What kind of music do you play? What kind of amp do you use? What kinds of sounds are you trying to achieve with a pickup swap in this guitar? Without knowing these things it will be harder for people to make a good recommendation.

well i play like acdc ish and sabbathish and im using a spyder 3 line 6 amp but its not just acdc and sabbath just like a mixture kinda like i also play smashing pumpkins the heavier ones and nirvana i hope thats enough info

I would go with a nice old PAF in the bridge... maybe a 59' and I would go with something like a DiMarzio Super Dist. for the bridge.

Get a custom pickguard cut for P-90's and put a SP90-1 in the neck position & a SP90-2 in the bridge.

for the ac/dc stuff a set of paf-type pickups would work well, though i didn't like my SG with a pearly gates bridge as it sounded pretty thin with my setup, and i can't imagine it sounding all that great with yours either. with an alnico 8 magnet in my PG though, it thickened up very well as well as boosted the output to match the neck pickup.
imo, you should be looking to upgrade your amp before your pickups. i had a spyder III previously, and most guitars sound the same through it, let alone the same guitar with subtle differences such as pickups. maybe get a vox advt used, it would be the same price as a new set of pickups and would be a much better investment towards your tone.

For my music, i honestly believe it is the best set out there, for under $400.00's !
Because there is nothing over $400.00's that i liked.
These pu's earned their perminant stay in this guitar.

IF you can swing it, look into the new 5 to 15watter's !
I had a VOX AC15 that i miss dearly - and no, there is no sellers remorse, it was stollen.
I am hugely impressed w the new VOX 15W Night Train, and the Orange Tiny Terror rocks real hard too.
There there is the new'ish Blackstar HT-5. WOW Fantastic value for your money, and the tone IS GOOD !
I also want to look into the brand new Marshall Haze 15watter.
IMHonestO, i truely believ you can not go wrong with any of the above mentioned amps !

i think im misleading yall because i play acdc and some metal so i would need good harmonics but idc about the acdc part much but i need a picku that can play acdcish but metal aswell
