Look on eBay for used PU's, they usually go for around half price. The most common recommendation on this forum has been for an SG is a C5/'59N, of if you want more mids in the bridge, a C8/'59N.

Neck: PG/n
Bridge: Brobucker for a PAF with a bit more firepower under the hood. The PG is like a ruder PAF, but the brobucker is a PAF that managed to stay on the winder during the whole coffee break. It will have less high end, but a lot more push to the amplifier, and with an SG you will NAIL the angus tone, and with a little gain from the amp, sabbath / pumpkins should be nearby too.

look for a used vox ad15vt for around $100, it's what i use. there's 11 amp models and a bunch of effects. it's a hybrid, so it's still part digital but it uses a 12ax7 tube and it's got more "wamth" than most other modeling amps. look around craigslist, local music stores, etc. any of the vox modeling amps are great really, but that one can be had the cheapest.

i found the vox for 100 but how does it compare to the line 6 and is there any cheaper tube amps?

I agree about better amplifiers helping your tone more than a pickup swap.
That said, a bridge pickup from the Custom family (ceramic Custom, Custom 5, Custom 8, maybe Custom Custom, maybe the Full Shred) or the Screamin' Demon, with a PAFish neck (59, PG, jazz, full shred) should sound pretty good. go check out the vox man, it's pretty cool. and for $100 dollars, that's 15 more watts than i got at the same price
there's loads more warmth and clarity in .... pretty much all the amp models. it's a great amp for sure

Actually you need a good amp & good PU's, to get the full benefit of both. A great amp with muddy PU's only makes the problem more evident. Good PU's don't show their potential thru a crappy amp.
As far as mids, every Gibson design guitar needs a neck PU that will give clarity & definition. Bright & clear, and 500K's are a must. But the bridge position is deficient of mids in just about any guitar, due to the lack of string energy & the close proximity to the bridge. You get a sharp, trebley tone. I think mids are needed here to balance with the neck's EQ, which is why I use 250K pots on all my bridge PU's, and my SG's in particular mostly have A8, A4, or A6 bridge magnets for the added mids. And I still have plenty of treble (with more available at the amp).
