Which bridge 'bucker for fat strat?

Hey everybody.

I would like to ask you guys for some advice. I am helping my younger brother build a parts-o-caster and needed some help choosing a bridge pickup.

The neck is an old Ovation maple neck with a slab rosewood fingerboard and the body is an old MIM body made of poplar ( I think) It resonates well and sound crisp and clear unplugged.

For the neck and middle, we're using Fender CS 62's.

What humbucker would balance well with these pickups?

My brother plays rock, punk, and also plays in a church group.

His rig is a Korg modeling floorboard into a Peavey 60 watt bass amp (great sounding rig, BTW). He can get pretty much any gain setting from his models, so mega output is not necessary.

I think something like a 59 or some other paf type would work great. I would probably look into getting a trembucker version. I actually use my 59 trembucker for rock, punk, metal, and other styles.

The best bucker I have found for a fat strat is the CC. I have one in my double fat strat, and can't say anything bad about it. Fattens up the bridge nicely, does classic rock and blues to hard rock very well, cleans up nicely and balances with most other pups. It's not a super high output pup, despite it's 14K rating.

I've tried several buckers in that slot, and it's the best by far.

Of my limited experience, the best is the CC.
