hey hey

Well, recently puchased a strat, i'm pretty much replacing everything except the neck (which is why i got it) and the body, (can't go wrong with surf green). About pickups, well, the current stock pickups tend to color the sound a bit too much. I play my electrics acoustically quite a lot, and I love my guitars acoustic tone, but when i plug in, ewwwwgh,.. some people would say the pickups are coloring the tone with thier "cheapness". I'm a fan of Eric Johnson, but in no way am I going to ask the famous question (how can I get johnsons tone), no I'm not here for that,.. lol,.. But i mentioned that so you guys know I play sort of in that style, and what i'm looking for in a single coil is the dynamics that would allow for that kind of playing (fast soloing a la cliffs of dover, zap, you know what i'm talking about) with a transparency that would allow more of my guitars natural tone to "shine"

Which current model duncan-singles would you guys recommend?

thank you for your time.

Antiquity Surfers, or if you can't swing that kind of cash, a pair of SSL-1's in the neck and mid and a Twangbanger in the bridge.

Antiquity Surfers...there is no other! Personally, they are my favorite new Strat single coils that I've ever used...and I've tried alot of boutique Strat single coils.

I also love the Lindy Fralin Vintage Hots...but the Ant Surfers are just a little ballsier.

Unless you want humbucking...then I'd say the Duncan Stack Plus.
