better harmonics...um...do you mean pinch harms? if so..

- BUT, i think it'll be easier to get them with a JB, because of the mid-spike.
i never said anything about BETTER HARMS, i mentioned which pup would be EASIER to get pinch harms with.

Some pickups DO have more harmonics than others...not pinch harmonics but a more extended high end. I can hear little springy sounding harmonics up on top with a Duncan Jazz neck HB that I do not hear from a 59N or Seth Lover in the same guitar.
But as far as pinch harmonics go, I have an easier time sqeezing them off with the JB than with a C5. The mids seem to be voiced a little thicker and squawkier in the JB than in the C5.
Alot depends on the amp. The amp I like best for generating pinch harmonics would be my 59 Fender tweed Bassman....turned up to about 6 or 7. When I plugged my Hamer with a C5 bridge pickup into that amp it came alive for the first time and I appreciated the C5.
Before that I just couldn't get it going.
The pickups that are easy for me to get pinch harmonics with are the 59 Trembucker in my Strat, the Custom Custom in my Hamer Monoco and the Tom Holmes HB's in my Les Paul.
