Which is smoother In the neck position of a mahogany guitar unda a little gain? My definition of smooth is fluid, buttery, no crackles or buzzing or grainyness like liquid that oozes with articulation.

I'd say alnico pro II... The pearly gates tend to have a little more bite to them.. Still a great pick-up (one of my fav. if not my fav) but the alnicos would be smoother... Anyone care to correct me if I'm wrong?

if you looked up "butta" in the dictionary...there would be an Alnico II pro pup picture next to it...lol...and smooth would be it's middle name!
