LOL!!! Its is quite good in the neck I will agree with you on that one. In the bridge its a different story to me. Yah it might be versatile to some people but, to me its versatile in the way that is does alot of stuff but, none of it well.Zerberus said:Because it sounds so good in the neck
No seriously, the JB and ´59 are the 2 most versatile pickups Duncan makes, and both also have a "Classic" tone... the JB is on an unbelievable amount of hard rock and metal recordings, esp. during the ´80s, as well as being used by players of all sorts styles to acheive the tone they´re looking for, blues and Jazz players being the most prominent of these, but also quite a few alternative, Pop and studio guitarists..... The 59 on the other hand is a PAF replica...´Nuff said?![]()
WORD!!! If the low 3 strings sounded good on the JB, I would most likely like it. The E, A, D, sound like ASS though! Gimmie a Damn custom and I will be happy!!!!! :laugh2:h8red442 said:the JB is so freakin' bassy tho. Everyone says it's bright. Which it may be. For me though there is nowhere near enough definition on the low end of things for me to like it... Duncan Distortion for me. I love the Custom too but the Distortion gives me the definition on the low end I need.

Might work in your rig bro! Thats great for you. Different strikes for different folks. I have played it through Many quality rigs (3 different Marshall half stacks one of which was a Slash, JCM 800, 900, Rivera's, Traynor's, Peavey XXX, XXL, 5150, and others. I have still not heard the versatility in it. I personally think the Bill Lawrence XL500 is the most versatile bucker I have played to this date though. Thats the versatility benchmark for me. Maybe it is versatile and sounds good through a Peavey Rage with a stomp box thrown in front of it though??????? Its just probally a matter of taste though. Thats why theres so many different pickups on the market instead of one. Everyone is looking for something a little different.Nite_Maresz_25 said:The JB is, and should be IMHO.
It's got great tone(at least in the situations I've played it in) and is VERY versitle, and good at it.
I would think that the color would be double black.
