Which Mag is the best

I have three different A5 mags. Out of the A5 oriented, Unoriented A5 and a Ruff cut A5.. I don't know which one to try first in a SH-5. I also have a A8....

It all depends what you're trying to get out of it, and if it's gotta match the neck p'up you already have, assuming you like it.

Also, the kind of music/you're looking for it'll be helpful to know before making an educated guess.

I don't use the neck PU and im playing metal and blues in a LP...

The Custom wind is a little bit lighter and snappier than the Alt, it's more sophisticated and harmonic-complex, specially if it's wired '50s style and you use the volume control; it'll clean up nicely, to the point you'll think it's a PAF that suddenly grew a huge pair, have a lot to say with a commanding voice, without being obnoxious.

The less gain you use, the better it sounds.

Yea i noticed with the Alt8 less gain you us it sounds better too. It can get real buzy at high gain playing through a Laney Ironheart 120 or 5150
