Which multi effects?

Hello everyone,
I need some help in a decision. I want to get a multi effects for all my modulation effects, but don't know which one or where to even start. I don't want loads of amp modellers and I've got O/D and distortion boxes I'm happy with. Stuff like delay, echo and reverb I'm still unsure about. Do multi effects pull these off?

Someone please help

what kinda specific sounds are u lookin for and how much's da budget?

For modulation effects, a multi-effects unit should be fine. Are you going to take it on gigs, or use it for recording? If so, you want to make sure that the quality is at LEAST decent, if not better. What defines "decent"? To me, expect to pay a minimum of $300.

He stated modulation effects in his post: chorus, flanging, phase shifting, etc.

don't bother with multi fx...they do alot of stuff, but they don't do any of it real good!
Exactly. I have an intellifex because of the hush, awesome reverbs it has, and some crazy wierd stuff that I might use once for a part on a recording that are cool. I don't use many effects in the loop, an MXR M-134, Boss RV-3, and an old MXR Phase 100 would do it for me.

I have been using a TC Electronics G-Force since '98. It is an expensive ($1300-$1400 street price) unit but has great chorus (probably the best money can buy), delay, reverb, flange and load of other stuff I rarely need. It also has an intelligent harmonizer which, for me, has worked out pretty well although some guys don't like it much. The auto-wah and whammy (w/expression pedal) also are pretty good.

I like to run this unit with the kill-dry ON in a parallel effects loops. It is really perfect for this application.

Re: Which multi effects?

If you can do without delay and reverb in the device your after ( you said you needed several modulation effects anyway ) maybe a line 6 MM4 would be a good choice for you.
