Which of these 3 amps would you choose?

Hey guys. I need some help. Can someone please help me decide on one of these 3 tube-driven Kustom Amps?

I'm planning on jamming in a Smashing Pumpkins-style alternative rock band with 3 or 4 other people? I'm looking for nice cleans and nice distortions.

If you had to choose between these 3 versions of the same amp, which would be the most suited for this situation? All three come with extension cab options and XLR direct outputs, along with a very handy footswitch with boost function.

Kustom 36 watt Coupe with 1x12 speaker

Kustom 36 watt Coupe with 2x10 speakers

Kustom 72 watt Coupe with 2x12 speakers

I voted 36w 1x12 b/c thats pretty close to what I just bought (orange rocker 30). If you need a lot of clean headroom tho, you might want the 72w 2x12. If you don't need a lot of headroom, but need more volume than the smaller amp, the 2x10 might be the ticket.

As I was told when I posted here the last wk or so trying to figure out what I wanted, only you can really decide. Try out the amps and pick the one that fits your tastes/budget best.

My choice was 36 watt 2x10 speakers, but I am into completely different style of music that you are into, but I've read alot about 10" being very "musical" and kinda "lead guitarist" speaker, I think they have less bottom end than 12" do.

I think that I'd like the 1x12 36w with a 1x12 extention cab.

I'd go 2 x 12 simply coz you'll have more head room and should get a better spread of sound.

its depends on what do u want from it...style u play

for heavy higain souns 2x12 closed back
for rock, jazz 1x12
for funk 2x10

I'd probably get the Hardtop 72 head and matching cab, although it's more money. :argh:

Read all the harmony central reviews on those Kustoms. I was reading up on them a few weeks ago, and noticed some reliability problems due to the autobiasing circuit. Apparently, they run hot and chew through tubes.
Don't take my word for it though.....I have no experience with them, other than reading the reviews. That 72W head looks cool!

My thinking was, since you mentioned the external speaker out, you'd be utilising it, so a 1x12 running a 4x12 makes more practical sense to me, then you still have the small version for when you need it (small gigs, recording, etc.)
