Which of these 4 amps would you get...

Re: Which of these 4 amps would you get...

Go to a slew of music stores and sit down with a bunch of amps for a few hours. You'll start learning what it is that's YOU. There's no better way than to bring your guitar, and don't let some salesman excite you and end up buying the first thing.
If you play the way you play on several brands, you'll start to see which one you need.

If I were to pick one, I'd go with the Peavey Classic 30. The HRD just has a bad overdrive channel: I'd personally rather have an amp with one good channel than an amp with a channel that is unusable.

For blues, I played a tweed Blues Jr and that thing really amazed me. It was so much purer than the other stuff I was playing in the store.

Everyone is saying the Classic 30 is better than the classic 50 due to sound issues, and the classic series is better than the hot rod because of overdrive issues. Overdrive shouldn't be a problem because I plan on buying a ts9.

Also doesn't the classic 30 have shared eq? And it doesn't have standby, both of these things bother me.

And for traynors, I was interested in them, but I don't think there are any dealers near me, let me check again.

EDIT: Just checked, the nearest Traynor dealership is in San Francisco, so a 45 minute drive. I wanted to go to the city to see if the guitar center there had either of those mesas, maybe my sister will take me this weekend.

I, personally, don't think a TS-9 is gainy enough to go by itself unless you're not really going for overdrive, but just a little dirt.

Yep, and yep. The shared EQ doesn't really bother me much on my Classic 50, but having no standby switch would REALLY bother me (the 50 has one, the 30 doesn't).
