Which one is actually jazzier...the Jazz neck or A2pro neck?

I know ive discussed this a fair bit but im getting close to commiting to one or the other, so i want to know if im getting the right one here.

For a les paul neck i want to be able to get great cleans, for jazz and funk and blues stuff, but mainly jazz, and then want to get some great rock distorted lead sounds too, nice big warm sounds!

And i want the neck pickup to mix well for good cleans with the bridge CC ill be putting in.

But for the neck i really want to get some good warm jazz cleans going, for finger chording and jazzy single note line stuff.

What do you think crew?

The 59 0r Jazz would be a great neck pup for Jazz.

I think the A2P is a jazzier pickup than the Jazz despite the laters name. The A2P is just a much rounder, more mellow pickup and excels at jazz. The Jazz can also do jazz, but for jazz(wow too much of one word) i prefer the A2P neck pup.

A2P every time, warmer than the jazz with more rounded shoulders.

..You can get more sounds & styles with the Jazz. ..It's easier to color your tone with your eq, tone & vol knobs than the AIIPro, imo. ..So I say Jazz, Jazz, Jazz!

One person here said the Jazz with an A2 sounded very much like an aph-1, so according to him, you'd be okay either way.

I couldn't agree more...

I don't know how they stack against each other. However, the solo on my Forum Jam-01 clip was recorded using an Alnico II Pro Humbucker in my Les Paul. I used a Line6 with Blackface Model. Volume and tone rolled off a bit. Sometimes I think it has a sugary sweet sound to it, sometimes I think it's thin. Depends on the day. I think under high gain, tho, the Jazz excels for clarity, but that's IMO.
